About me
Rané’s 31 years in public schools includes serving as a teacher, elementary principal, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, and a superintendent. Much of this time was serving communities of color that demonstrated great strength and brilliance while facing the challenges associated with high poverty. She witnessed systemic injustices in funding and systems that compel her to work to bring opportunities to children and communities that face the greatest barriers. Rané received her Doctorate from Eastern Michigan University in 2023 with a focus on Educational Leadership. She is honored to be in working alongside districts, ISDs, and professional organizations toward access, fairness, and belonging for Michigan’s richly diverse students.
