About me
Christy Osborne is the ELD (English Language Development) Consultant at Oakland Schools. As part of the Leadership and School Improvement unit, she provides integrated Title III/EL support for Statewide Systems of Support buildings through the Regional Assistance Grant. In addition, she partners with Suzanne Toohey, Supervisor of Pedagogy and Instruction, to provide consultation, coaching and professional development for Oakland County educators and administrators of ELs. Christy offers virtual or on-site professional learning for K-12 ESL, classroom and content area teachers on academic language & literacy for ELs, ELD/Title III programming, ESL curriculum development and SEL/equitable practices for multilingual learners. In addition, she is a certified SIOP trainer who leads full SIOP training at Oakland Schools, virtual, and on-site in Oakland County districts.
